AMELIA (MILLIE) HAAS (FROSK) Nee Weinbender It is with deep sadness her children announce the passing of our mom Millie on Sunday, March 6, 2011 at Park Manor Care Home at the age of 89 years. Left to cherish Millie's memory are children, Elaine Juniper, Trudy Cosme, Don Frosk (Maureen) and Susan Dyck (John); stepdaughters Evelyn and Corrine; grandchildren, Robert (Cathy), Karen (Doug), Randy, Lynda (Art), Jennifer, Patrick (Daniel), Steven (Tanya), Dawn (Carey), Jeremy and Derick; great-grandchildren, Brian (Stacey), Jared, Jonathon, Tyler, and Bella; great-great-grandchild Emily. Also to mourn, is her only surviving sister Emma and many nieces and nephews. Millie was predeceased by first husband Joseph Frosk, second husband Walter Haas, mother, father, sisters and brothers and son-in-law Victor. Millie was born July 14, 1921 and lived in the North End of Winnipeg most of her life. She worked at Eaton's Mail Order for many years, also she worked at John Leckie until her retirement. She loved playing Bingo at her local bingo halls and taking numerous trips to Las Vegas. She was an avid reader and loved to dance, especially the polka. She was famous for her cabbage rolls, perogies and uncooked fudge. Mille had a heart of gold and will be missed by many. The family would like to thank the staff and volunteers at Park Manor for all the TLC given to our mom during her 5 year stay there. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 11 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Flowers gratefully declined.
