FAYKA GIRGIS (MINA)

May 11, 1918 - August 7, 2008

On Thursday August 7, 2008 at the Victoria General hospital in Winnipeg, Fayka Girgis (Mina) peacefully passed away at the age of 90 years. She was born on May 11th, 1918 in Egypt and joined her children in Canada in 1979. Preceded by her husband of 50 years Morcoss Fahmy Mina who passed away in 1991, she is survived by her son Mourad Mina and his wife Nadia of Calgary, Her son Dr. Mina Mina of Winnipeg, her daughter Anjiel of Calgary, and her daughter Magdoline and husband Fakhry Gobran of Mississauga, her grand children Magdy Ghobrial and wife Irene of Calgary, Lidia and her husband Dr. Magdy Zaki of Winnipeg, Maged Gobran of Mississauga, Mark and Helen Mina of Calgary, and her great grand children Kaitlin and Nicole Zaki, and Alexandra Ghobrial.

Funeral Service will be held at 9:30 AM on Saturday August 9, 2008 at St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Church, 1400 Pembina Hwy, Winnipeg, with Fr. Marcos Farag officiating. Interment to follow in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens In Lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Church in memory of Mrs. Fayka Girgis (Mina).
