Obituary of Peter GEL
PETER GEL
Heaven opened its gate and took Peter home on September 28, 2009. Peter was born on May 25, 1933 in Prairie River, Saskatchewan.
He will be truly missed by his beloved wife of 53 years Elizabeth and family, John, Gary, Sherry, Mary Ann (Darrell), Karen, Len, Peter Jr., Kenny (Cheryl). The joy of his life, his precious grandchildren, Skaija, Johnnie, Katrina (Tyler), Erin, Bree, Kayla, Dylan, Dustin, Katie, Zachary, Chloe.
Peter, Dad (Pops), Papa loved to spend his time out in Ponemah with his family and friends. He enjoyed music, gardening, working in his garage fixing things. He had a wonderful gift of laughter, always teasing and making people laugh. Helping people was something that he always found time to do. He never said no to someone in need.
When our tears fall thinking of you not being with us we'll remember the times that you made each of us laugh, smile and wish we could do it again. We were greatly blessed to have you in our lives.
Special thanks to all the staff at the St. Boniface Hospital.
Prayers will be held on Wednesday, September 30 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 1 at 10:00 a.m. also at the Chapel. Interment will follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
