ANNA GEBACZ (NEE DIAKUM) It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother and grandmother, Anna Gebacz on Monday, March 2, 2009 with her family at her side at St. Joseph's Residence. Remaining to forever cherish her memory are her sons: Allan (Patricia), George (Penny) and Ronald (Karen) and grandchildren: Chelsea, Adam, Jarrett, Meghan and Sydney. As well, she will be remembered by her nephew Jack Goodwillie (Murielle) and their children (Nicole, Michele and Jaclyn) from Red Lake, Ontario. She was predeceased by her parents Peter and Anastasia Diakum, husbands Walter, Bill and Tedy, brother Fred, sisters Tecla and Mary. Sadly her sister Steffanie passed away on March 3, 2009, one day after Anna . Mom loved to socialize and always opened her home to many neighbors, friends and family. Her grandchildren occupied a special place in her heart and she spoiled them every opportunity she had. She also had an unconditional love for animals and she kept many pets throughout her lifetime. Her adventurous spirit led her on trips to Poland, Las Vegas and Brazil, South America with various traveling partners such as her husband Tedy, sister Mary and nephew Jack and his family. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff on level two, north at St. Joseph's Residence for the respect, compassion and friendship they provided Mom during her 5 year residence. A celebration of her life will take place in a private family service. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends and acquaintances.
