Bertram FINNEGAN Obituary

Bertram Finnegan

November 16, 1933 - December 3, 2009

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Bertram Finnegan on Thursday, December 3, 2009 at Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 76 years.

Bertram leaves to mourn Viola Carty, his life partner for almost 30 years of Winnipeg and Viola's family of Winnipeg; his two sons Bart and Kevin of Ontario; his two daughters Shelly (Rick) and Kim of St. Catherines, Ontario; as well as his surviving brother Bob (Grace) and one sister Marion; 7 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and many friends and family both in Ontario and Winnipeg.

Bertram was predeceased by his parents John and Jean, brothers David and Jack, sister Imelda (Millie), and brother-in-law Gerry.

Bertram was born in Port Colborne, Ontario in 1933. He moved to Winnipeg and worked for several years as an upholsterer. He met Viola in 1973. He loved playing rummy and watching hockey. He was also very handy around the house and could fix almost anything. He loved his Irish Jigs. He was loved by everyone.

Special thanks to the Doctors and Nurses at Health Science Centre and Seven Oaks Hospital, they were great! Also a very special thank-you to Shannon of Home Care.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, December 10, at 1:00 pm at Cropo Funeral Chapel 1442 Main Street with Pastor Milton Chambers officiating.
