CARLTON HILLARY EDWARDS Suddenly at his residence on July 19 2011 Carlton Hillary Edwards left us to join his wife Janet Edwards (predeceased). Carlton (Smokey as all his family and friends know him) was predeceased by his mother Gwenfield and his father Carlton Edwards in Guyana. Smokie is survived by his three sons; Nigel, Nolan, Carlton (Laura); his two sisters, Jean (Keith), Barbara(Morris) followed by this three brothers, Paul(Kay), Colin(Joyce)and John, which all reside in the United States; much loved grandchildren, Felicia, Kyle, Annessa and Olivia. He also had many children whom he considered his grandchildren, Haylee, Cody, Blue, Erik, Sarah, Alexander, and Christine. He is also survived by his nephews, Marlon and Daryl and nieces, Donna, Shari, Candice, Timica, Jasmine and Shanice and numerous cousins in the USA and Guyana. Carlton was born June 4, 1952 in Linden, Guyana, immigrated to Canada in 1975 and lived here until his death. He was married to Janet for 23 years. He loved the Blue Bombers and Pittsburgh Steelers. He was very active in the Guyanese community and proud of his heritage. He worked for Versatile for many years and was a welder by trade. He will be missed by all friends at Jeffery's. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 28 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 29 at 2:00 p.m. also at the Chapel.
