OLGA DREIKLUFT


January 23, 1917-November 28, 2008


Olga Dreikluft passed away at the Kildonan Personal Care Home at the age of 91 years.


She was predeceased by her husband Ernest in 1965; sisters Grace Bailey, Anne Slom, brothers John and Tony Blackner.


Olga is survived by children Donna (George) Ruff, Dennis (Diane) Dreikluft and Karen Schouten, sisters Helen Stranden, Edie Thompson and Vicki Styles. "Baba" had 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.


Baba loved her time with her family, which always came first. She enjoyed her bowling, gardening and fishing. She was a very good bowler and had a huge assortment of bowling trophies. She once won a prize for being the oldest fisherman at a fishing derby. She enjoyed celebrating any special occasion with a "schnapps".


In her younger years, Baba worked at The Bay and Robinson Little. Her first love was Ernest and now she will join him again.


Celebration of her life will be held at St.Luke's Zion Lutheran Church, 2903 McPhillips on Wednesday, December 3 at 10:00 a.m. Private interment to follow.


Many thanks to the staff at Kildonan Personal Care Home and the home care workers who looked after Baba while she was in her house.
