Obituary of Stanley DOLINSKY
STANLEY PAUL DOLINSKY
With great sadness and heavy hearts we announce the passing of our brother Stanley Paul Dolinsky on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at the Deer Lodge Centre at the age of 89.
He was predeceased by his parents and a brother.
Stanley leaves to mourn his six sisters; one brother; two brothers-in-law; one sister-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
Deep appreciation goes to the staff at Deer Lodge who helped Stan in every way possible due to his condition of Parkinson's. A special thank you to the night nurse from Deer Lodge who visited Stan at Grace Hospital on May 1st when he was being treated with antibiotics for his pneumonia.
Stan turned 20 in 1939 and joined the army where he reached the rank of Sargent Major. He served both in the Aleutian Islands and in Britain, returning to Canada when he the war ended in 1945.
He was involved in real estate for a number of years. He was devoted to his parents. Basically he liked helping people especially his neighbours who were kind to Stan and Dad. One neighbour needed help to go to Church and return home so Stan smiling accepted her offer in joining him for lunch.
Arrangements are for cremation and his urn of ashes will be buried in Dad's grave in Holy Ghost Cemetery. A Memorial Service will take place on Wednesday, May 13 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street.
A Memorial Tree was planted for Stanley
