Obituary of Gordon DACK

GORDON ROBERT DACK 1958-2010 After a long and unforgiving battle with cancer, Gordon passed away on July 21. The onset of his illness came as a shock to all, as he had been healthy for the majority of his lifetime. He loved sports, actively participating in football and especially basketball, enabling him to have an encyclopedic knowledge of both. Gordon is survived by his parents Allan and Betty, his sister Diane, his sons Gordon Jr., Trevor, their mother Nora and his granddaughter Sophia, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his partner Rita, whose care enabled him to spend so many of his final days at home. We would like to offer our heartfelt thanks to all the palliative care workers, who helped make his final journey as comfortable as possible. A service of remembrance will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
