It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mom, Grandma, Sister, Aunt and Friend. Peacefully on Thursday, February 3, 2011, at the St. Boniface General Hospital Palliative Care Unit, Karin passed away, at the age of 62 years old, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Karin leaves to mourn her children, Stacy Parsons (Dave), Kim Cymbalisty (Anthony Fox), Stanley Cymbalisty (Tracy), Kent Cymbalisty (Judy), grandchildren, Tye, Matty, Paige, Jordan and Logan. Also left to mourn are her siblings, Judy Jack (Dave), Maureen Redfern (Fred), Laurie Arnason (Julie) and Anne Arnason, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved pets, Xena and Ben. Karin was predeceased by her husband Joseph, daughter Tanya, and by her parents, Edna and Lorenzo (Biff).
Karin was born in Winnipeg on September 5, 1948. Karin resided in Winnipeg her entire life. She dedicated her life to raising her children. In more recent years, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Karin loved gardening and was a fabulous cook, she loved nothing better than cooking and baking for everyone.
The family would like to thank the St. Boniface CancerCare doctors and nurses, as well as the doctors and nurses on the Palliative Care Unit. A special thank you to Dr. Rizwan Qureshi (Riz). Your respect, compassion and care of our mom (Karin) and our family was very much appreciated. You went above and beyond your call of duty and we thank you.
