JANET D. CRUCQ


October 14, 1913 - October 20, 2008 Sadly, Janet Crucq (nee Davidson) passed away at the West Park Manor in Winnipeg at 6:50 p.m. on Monday, October 20, 2008. Janet will be greatly missed by her surviving nieces and nephews in Winnipeg MB, Courtenay, BC, Montreal PQ and Calgary AB. She was predeceased by her daughter Lorna in 1967 and her husband Jack in 1998. Janet was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, became a pharmacist and practiced in London, England where she met her husband Jack Crucq during WWII. After the war, Jack came back to Canada and brought Janet with him as his war bride. They lived in Selkirk, MB and had a baby girl Lorna nicknamed "Pinkie" Janet lived an active life and was heavily involved with the Girl Guides. Jack and Janet loved to winter in Portugal and summer at their cottage at Wallace Lake. When Jack retired, they moved to Winnipeg. As per Janet's wishes, no formal service will be held. Those wishing to do so may make donations in Janet's name to the CNIB or to the Canadian Cancer Society. May She Rest in Peace.
