Obituary of Wilma CLEEM
WILMA CLEEM
It is with deep sadness the family announces the passing of Wilma Cleem, mother, grandmother, sister, cousin, and friend on October 14, 2010.
Mom will be deeply missed by her children Derek (Linda) and Trish; grandchildren Jasmine, Brooke, Haley, Julian, and Evan, and her six great grandkids. Deeply missed also by her brothers and sisters and their families.
Mom was predeceased by her husband Richard in 1972, and by her long time companion Bert Palmer in 1998, and her son Rick in 1992.
Mom was born in Vita, MB on June 27, 1942, and grew up in Dominion City where she made many lifelong friends. She remained close to her brothers and sisters and loved her life in the country.
She worked for the Boundary School Division until her health forced her to retired in 1995. She loved knitting, reading, and was working on the family history. She had a very clear memory for dates and times and no one could tell her any different. Mom had a very keen sense of humor and could make you laugh when you least expected it.
It seems fitting that her final resting place will be in the country, which she loved so much.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, October 18, at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street.
Honorary Pallbearers are her grandsons Julian and Evan
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Wilma's memory to the Canadian Diabetes, 200-310 Broadway, Winnipeg MB R3C 0S6 or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 300-6 Donald Street, Winnipeg MB R3L 0K6
"Soar with the angels Mom. You've earned your rest."
