Obituary of Liselotte Cabot

LISELOTTE HELENE CABOT In loving memory of a wonderfully kind and thoughtful woman, daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, Liselotte Helene Cabot, who passed from our lives Saturday February 6th, 2010 at the age of 82. Left to cherish her memory are her four children Darlene Wright (Trylinski), Gerald Trylinski and his wife Cheryl and Darrell and Marlene Cabot, her grandchildren Rory and Lara Wright, Alexa and Kale Trylinski, and Dustin and Connor Mikkelson Cabot, her two great-grandchildren Sebastian and Nicholas Wright as well as many, many other family and friends. Liselotte will be remembered for her thoughtfulness as she was always thinking about how she could make others more content. She will also be remembered for her love of dancing, travelling, simply enjoying life, her wonderfully delicious cooking (especially her perogies and coleslaw) and her concern and love for her family. Our mother had many struggles in her life, but she always tried her best to put them behind her and make the most of what she had. Even though her last few days were a struggle she could still be heard singing "Oh what a beautiful morning" and other tunes brightening up the days of those around her, which strengthens the belief that "though no one can make a brand new start anyone can start from now and make a brand new end." We would like to say thank you to all the staff at Golden West Centennial Lodge for providing the respect and care that our elders deserve. Special thanks to all of the devoted staff on the 4th floor who made her feel like she had a safe and caring place to be, especially to George Tainton, an intuitive caregiver who was by her side as she left us. In keeping with mom's wishes, cremation has taken place so she can return to the mountains of Austria where she ran free as a child. A memorial service will be held on Friday February 12, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Cropo Funeral Chapel 1442 Main Street. If friends and family so desire, donations in our mother, Liselotte's name may be made to Golden West Centennial Lodge, 811 School Rd, Winnipeg, Mb, R2Y 0S8 as she would have wanted to help provide support and opportunities for those still with us. May peace be with you mom and may your spirit forever be in the hearts of those you touched. Cropo Funeral Chapel 586-8044
