Obituary of Helena Burczynski

HELENA BURCZYNSKI (Krakowiak) It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother Helena Burczynski on December 21, 2010. Left to cherish her memory are, her husband Piotr Burczynski; daughter Wanda Burczynski; son Frank Burczynski (Darka) and grandchildren Steven and Katharyn; sisters Zosia and Kasia and many nieces and nephews in Poland. Helena was born on February 25, 1925 in Osiny, Poland. She was predeceased by brother Stefan and sister Anna. Mom treasured her family above all else and was always there to lend a helping hand, give a word of advise, guidance and support. She taught us valuable life lessons, for which we will forever be grateful. Mom's passions were gardening, cooking, sewing, knitting and crocheting. In the summer months, Mom and Dad loved to take us blueberry and mushroom picking and fishing the lakes of the Whiteshell Provincial Park. Mom was a kind and loving person whose generous spirit touched all who knew her. Special thank-you to Goddaughter Helen who was there to comfort and support her during her last months. The family would also like to thank the nurses, doctors, and aids at Riverview Health Centre, Misericordia and Health Sciences Centre for the care they provided. Prayers will be held on Wednesday, December 22 at 9:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 23 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave. with an Oblate Father officiating. Interment to follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery. CROPO Funeral Chapel 1442 Main Street 586-8044
