GEORGE BRYSON Peacefully on May 19, 2009, George Bryson passed away at Riverview Health Centre at the age of 74 years. George was born October 4, 1934 near Flin Flon, MB and was the son of Dan and Anne Bryson. He grew up in Flin Flon with his two brothers and two sisters. George had a passion for athletics, primarily hockey. At a young age he played for the Flin Flon Bombers while working at the mine in Flin Flon as a welder and completing his high school. His welding experience took him to Glasgow, Scotland to weld on ships and to Western Canada. George settled in Winnipeg and married his wife Norma, He had two sons and worked as a Police Officer with the Winnipeg Police for 29 years, retiring in 1989 as a Staff Sargent. George will be remembered and always respected for his committed contributions as a coach and volunteer. His rock solid advice, wisdom and his devotion to family and friends. "A favour owed is a debt unpaid" were words he lived by. If you asked George to help you, he would never miss the opportunity to be there. The family would like to thank CancerCare Manitoba and Riverview Health Centre A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 25 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street with Rev. Robert Harris officiating. Interment to follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
