Obituary of Julia Brygidyr
Julia Brygidyr It is with heavy hearts and tearful goodbyes we announce the passing of Julia Brygidyr (Protocky) at her home on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 surrounded by her family. Julia was born in Winnipeg on September 10, 1928. She worked for many years until retirement at which time she then devoted herself completely to her family, home and her passion for gardening. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband Joseph, children: Gail (Lenny), Jo-Anne (Gary); grandchildren: Lyle (Tiffany), Michelle (Ken and daughters); Chase, Jesse and Austin; great-grandchildren: Brendan and Breanne; sister: Lucy Gibson and numerous nephews and nieces. A Celebration of Julia's life will be held on Saturday, January 8, at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Our family would like to send a special thank you to: Maryanne and the Palliative Care Nurses, Dr. Yip, Dr. Czaykowski, Riverview Palliative Care Hospital; St. Boniface 5th Floor Kelly and Nursing Staff; and a special thank you to mom's favorite Home Care Worker Leilani for taking such tender care of our mother. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be made to the Canadian Colorectal Cancer Society in memory of Julie Brygidyr. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
