Walter BOZOHORA

Obituary of Walter BOZOHORA

WALTER (BUZZY) BOZOHORA We sadly announce the passing of Walter Bozohora on February 2, 2010 at the age of 91 years. Walter is survived by his daughter Pat Hasiuk (Ernie); his son Larry (Rita); grandchildren Greg (Paula), Brenda (Duncan), Summer (David), and Todd (Bawanthi); great-grandchildren Jaime, Magnus, Sebastian, Oriya and Katya, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Ann (Panagapko). Walter was born May 20, 1918 in Winnipeg. He attended Norquay School where he met Ann, the love of his life for over 63 years. After serving in World War II, he became a baker but he was a born salesman. Over the years he worked for Manitoba Sausage, Schneiders and Old Country Sausage. He enjoyed his job, travelling extensively, and took pride in serving his customers. With Ann, Wally was a gracious host, entertaining family, friends and neighbours. His favourite pastimes included family celebrations, playing cards, darts, fishing and harvesting his "prize-winning" tomatoes and cucumbers. He loved his yard, feeding the birds with a dog always at his side. Wally and Ann enjoyed dancing, travelling together, and wintering for many years in Texas. Dad was a devoted husband, fun-loving Gigi, and will be lovingly remembered as a father who worked hard to provide for his family. The family would like to send their sincere thanks to relatives and friends and the wonderful staff at Deer Lodge Center, Tower 5 for their care and compassion. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 5 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Walter's memory to the Alzheimer's Society of Manitoba.
