Patricia Elizabeth Boyko ( Antoniow) With her family at her side, it is with great sadness the family of Patricia Boyko announce her peaceful passing from us to the arms of the Lord on May 2 .2010 at the age of 78. Leaving to mourn and lovingly remember her are her daughters, Lynn and Sherry(Ron) with grandchildren Jennifer. Michelle and Tina, brother John(Dora) Antoniow, sisters Helen (Ernie) Johnson,Tillie Benedict as well as sisters and brothers in law Helen Matwychuk, Adolph(Adeline) Boyko, Evelyn (Nick) Ruta, Mary Hunter Verna(Clarence) Kozie, Jean (Brian) Kolisnyk, Steve(Ellen) Boyko and numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her loving husband, Bill in 2000, her parents Thomas and Mary, brothers Bill and Steven and her sister Eva. Pat was born on November 25, 1931 in Snipe Lake, Saskatchewan to Thomas and Mary Antoniow. Her life interests and education as an RNA took her to Port Arthur, Ontario where she met her future husband, Bill with whom she shared 46 years of happy married life. It was here in Port Arthur (Thunder Bay) where they enjoyed family life, church, lifelong friends, excursions to the cottage, extensive travel vacations and entertaining. Pat worked for 33 years at the Lakehead Psychiatric Hospital as a staff nurse, supervisor and counselor. In her retirement, she enjoyed living in her dream home in Oakbank, Manitoba and spending the winter months at her winter home in Florida. Pat also enjoyed entertaining, cooking, sewing, knitting, crocheting, gardening, decorating, and especially spending leisure time with and being part of her grandchildren's lives. Pat was a gracious and sincere person. Her wisdom, caring, generosity, sense of humour and good nature made her good company, as she encouraged your potential and extended herself to make you welcome to be part of the family. She was the model of devoted wife and mother. Prayers will be held on Thursday, May 6 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Winnipeg. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, May 7 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Cooks Creek, MB with Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery.
