MARY BAZILEWICH
Peacefully on February 1, 2010 at St. Joseph's Residence, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Mary Bazilewich passed away.
Mary was predeceased by her husband Nicholas, her sons Fred and George, her parents John and Teena Humeny and brothers, John and Alex, and sisters, Olga and Helen.
She leaves to mourn her passing her children Mike (Jadwiga), Nancy (John), Ed (Janet), Allan (Marcia), Marcie (Bill), Barbara (Ralph) and Robert (Agnes), 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, her sister Annie Ruby, and many nieces and nephews. Mary was born on March 31, 1917 in the R.M. of Bifrost and resided in the Poplarfield and Bjarmi Districts until moving to Winnipeg with Nicholas in 1973. Mary worked at the Knox United Church Day Care Centre until her retirement.
Prayers will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 250 Jefferson Avenue, with Father Frank Szadiak officiating and with interment at All Saints Cemetery.
The family wishes to thank the staff at St. Joseph's Residence for the love, care and kindness shown to Mary, and to her family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary's memory to the Friends Foundation of St. Joseph's Residence, c/o St. Joseph's Residence, 1149 Leila Avenue, Winnipeg.
