JOHN BALEWICZ

April 9, 1920 - September 9, 2008

Peacefully on September 9, 2008, John passed away at Riverview Health Centre at the age of 88 years.

John is survived by sons Michael (Sherryl) and Joseph; grandchildren Jonathan and Ryan; sister-in-law Carol Kolosky.

He was predeceased by his wife Lillian.

John was born in Alberta and moved to Winnipeg in 1952. He was a letter carrier at Canada Post until retirement. John enjoyed rock collecting, lapidary, playing cards at various senior clubs and spending time with his grandsons.

The family would like to thank the staff at Riverview 3East for their care and compassion.

Prayers will be said on Friday, September 12 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, September 13 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, Munroe & Brazier. Interment to follow in Assumption Cemetery.
