Obituary of Anton BABIAK
ANTON BABIAK
It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Anton Babiak at the age of 63 years, surrounded by his family.
Anton leaves to mourn his wife of 36 years, Krystyna; daughter Elizabeth (Marc Lafournaise); son Andrew (Kathy) and grandchildren Megyn and Lucas.
Anton was born on June 5, 1945 in Czechoslovakia. He was the youngest of 7 children. He immigrated to Canada in 1968 where he met his wife Krystyna, and began a new life. His passions in life were spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. We will miss him dearly.
We would like to thank the staff at the Palliative Care unit at St. Boniface Hospital for their compassionate care of Anton.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 1, at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Avenue with an Oblate Father as Celebrant, with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
God saw you getting tired When a cure was not to be, He put His arms around you And said, "Come unto Me."
