ANN PROCEWIAT Peacefully on Monday, August 15th, 2011 Ann Procewiat passed away at Oakview Place in her 92nd year. Ann was predeceased by her parents, Martin and Helen Kulczycki; her husband John and son Edward; siblings Lena, Mary, Joe, Chesley, Bertha and Stanley; and special friend and sister-in-law, Pauline (Matt) Fakas. She leaves to mourn daughter/best friend and son-in-law, Jackie and Lawrence Hemery; daughter-in-law, Sharon Procewiat; grandchildren; Sean (Jackie) Procewiat, Chris (Marian) Procewiat, Chantal (Al) Criggar and Trevor Hemery; great grandchildren; Karleigh, Halle and Logan Procewiat, Andrew Alexander and Wynn Criggar; brother-in-law Ed Obodzinski, and many nieces and nephews all of whom she cherished. Ann was born March 4th, 1919 on the Kulczycki homestead in Hadashville MB. She lived there until she married John Procewiat in 1937. John and Ann moved to Winnipeg, settling in the North End where they raised their family and Ann worked in the dry cleaning industry until her retirement. Their home was always full of love, good food and always an open door for family and friends. Ann’s greatest joy was her grandchildren and later her great grandchildren. Nana loved to help take care of them, watch them Ukrainian Dance and teach them her way to make perogies and holobchi. Nana shared a very special connection with her great granddaughter Wynn. With a twinkle in her eye, Nana loved to watch Wynn sing, dance, run and play. Affectionately known as Mom, Nana, Auntie Ann or Little Annie – she will be remembered for her kind heart and love of her family. Ann loved to be around family and friends, playing cards, her scratch tickets, doing puzzles and playing Bingo. Many of these activities she enjoyed with her friends at the Arms of the Cross where she resided for 25 yrs. The family would like to thank the staff of the 2nd floor at Oakview Place, 3rd floor at Grace Hospital and Dr. R. McCammon for their compassion and care. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 22nd at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street; with Rev. Fr. Isidore Dziadyk, OSBM officiating.
