On Monday, July 4, 2011, Ted Bekus, our beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather, passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 81.

Ted is survived by his wife Helena; daughter Irena (Bill) Tokarz; sons Stan (Jane) of Comox, BC and Janusz (Trudy) of Winnipeg; grandchildren David (Mal), Brian Tokarz both of Winnipeg, Evan Bekus, Michelle (Shayne) Sutcliffe of Comox, BC, Deanna and Justin Bekus of Winnipeg; great grandchild Aiden Tokarz. He also leaves to mourn, brothers Henryk and Marian Bekus in Poland as well as numerous nieces, nephews and relatives here in Winnipeg and Poland.

He was predeceased by parents Josef and Josefa Bekus and brother Stanislaw.

The family would like to thank the nurses and physicians of Seven Oaks Hospital Emergency, Health Sciences Centre and Grace Hospital for the wonderful care given to our husband and father.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 12 at 10:00 a.m. with Rosary at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave. with an Oblate Father officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery.
