Jeannie – witty, intelligent, beautiful. Blessed with her “Victorian skin, a gift for languages, an unending passion to learn and her large repertoire of jokes! Cultured; generous and kind; compassionate and complex. So many memories – Libya, London, Rome, Mauritania, Malta, La Manga, Alicante in “freezing fog, Calgary and Winnipeg. Maid of Honor at my wedding all those years ago, hours and hours of telephone calls, laughing until our bellies hurt, Drs “Spring and Turk – putting the world to rights. Canned salmon, chocolate, cups of tea, half eaten muffins and always scrutinizing the menu! Julio Inglesias, bagpipes and Charles Aznavour. The Mom who cherished her boys and wanted them so much. – detailing their lives and accomplishments in her beautiful scrapbooks. Regrets girl … regrets.

Jeannie, te has ido y no hemos podido despedirnos. I have wanted to write in Spanish in honour of your love for languages, cultures and different countries. Jeannie I will miss you, and you will be in my heart forever. Un abrazo inmenso.

Jeannie and I met on our third interview with Air Canada. We became inseparable for many years. She was one of the smartest women I know. Her love of adventure and learning about new cultures was insatiable. She was one of the nicest women ever. My thoughts and prayers are with her boys and family.

It has been many years since I have worked with or seen Jeannie at Air Canada. My memories of her are that she was a warm and an elegant woman. Always a quick smile and a pleasant comment for everyone. She did indeed have a worldly and open slant on life. I remember her yearning desire for a family. Lucky are you who chose her as your Mother. May you be at Peace and may your family embrace the wonderful memories. May Spirit hold you all at this difficult time.

Words can not express how much I will miss your cheerful greeting, phone calls, unending support, stories of your children, your experiences of travel far and wide, your wisdom, your love of life, your view of the world and embracing all cultures, sharing in the love of my children and grandchildren, your fabulous sense of humor and quick wit, your laughter, your slightly naughty jokes, your beautiful face, your love of animals, our discussions of the world order, your ability to always see the glass half full and cheer up every one when times were tough, your cards on every occasion and just because, your hair up in rollers and pretty red lipstick, the beautiful bright colours you always wore, your willingness to try new things and getting the rest of us to join in, your intelligence, being our social convener for theater, lunches, and movies, sharing all your friends, wanting us all to meet and enjoy each others company, you always said "the more the merrier", going to the ballet with me, your kindness, understanding, and gentleness, your patience, never judging, that twinkle in your eye, your love of tea and dessert, of family and traditions, your love of England and everything Royal. My memories of our times shared will always be in my heart and I will forever miss you and love you. Pat

To Barry, Jordan, Matteo, and Family, Jeannie was a truly wonderful friend - always kind, caring, compassionate, and generous. We will always remember our Friday nights on Corydon and I won't soon forget our afternoon tea visits, sharing our mutual love of travel, animals, movies, and books. They were special times! Jeannie always lit up a room with her dazzling smile and good-natured wit. With every new trip and adventure, she drew people to her like a magnet, always welcoming everyone into her life with an open heart. We feel so fortunate to have had Jeannie in our lives. After 33 years of friendship, we will miss her terribly, but we will always remember her for the very special person that she was. Sending you our deepest sympathy.
