Obituary of RICHARD JOHN MCDONALD

RICHARD JOHN MCDONALD December 16, 1950 – August 26, 2013 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend Richard John McDonald. He was predeceased by his father Ronald McDonald; step father John Kozak and uncle Ken McDonald. Richard leaves behind his mother Lola Kozak; sisters Janet and Maria; niece Sarah; his favourite aunty Roma and numerous aunts, uncles, cousin and friends. Richard was a free spirit and loved taking his cousins on nature hunts to teach them about nature and the world. He enjoyed music, astronomy and was an extraordinary artist who loved people and life. As you journey on we must say good bye for now – until we meet again. We will always hold you close in our hearts and cherish the memories we shared. The family would like to thank Richard’s close friends Dan, Cameron and Doreen for their love and support and the Victoria General Hospital team for Richard’s care during his stay. We invite you all to attend a Memorial Service on Wednesday, September 4, at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society or charity of their choice.
