ABBEY DELANEY RUCHKALL

Obituary of ABBEY DELANEY RUCHKALL

ABBEY DELANEY RUCHKALL May 8, 1994 - August 16, 2013 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our Abbey D. from an epileptic seizure. She was loved deeply, and forever touched the lives of all who knew her. Her parents; Don and Julie-Ann, brother Harris, canine companion Mya; the Ruchkall, Waite and MacDonald families; the multitude of friends, coworkers, as well as the theatre community, will undoubtedly embrace precious memories of the beautiful, dynamic, creative, and kind essence of Abbey. A timeless, free and unique soul with a keen sense of flair, Abbey, with her trademark lips of red, had an affinity for vintage clothing. And in spite of her epilepsy, she reveled in the performing arts from a young age. She persevered to achieve her dream of studying this craft in a classical training program. Abbey's determination was affirmed, a new chapter in her life's story set to begin only two short weeks from now, at Toronto's Humber College Theatre Performance program. A trust fund to support young people in the arts has been created in Abbey's name. In lieu of flowers, the family would be pleased if contributions would be made through any RBC branch. Further details will be provided at both services, or by emailing AbbeyDTrustFund@ gmail.com. Informal viewing will take place on Thursday, August 22, 2013, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Covenant Christian Reformed Church, 653 Knowles Ave., followed by an evening of "Celebration of Life" on Friday, August 23, 2013, starting at 6:00 p.m. at the Canad Inns Polo Park Banquet Centre, 1405 St. Matthews Avenue. In true Abbey style, she made her wishes known prior to her death. "Please don't wear black; unless it's vintage! Wear a hat, bring some color, and celebrate my life!"
