Obituary of WALTER ROMANIW

WALTER ROMANIW With deep sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved brother and uncle. Walter passed away peacefully on July 21, 2013 at Seven Oaks Hospital. Walter is survived by his brother Roman (Sharon) and his sister Barbara and nieces Danika, Tesia and Celina. He was predeceased by his parents Katherine and Harry Romaniw. Walter lived in Winnipeg his entire life, attended Elmwood High School and remained a North End guy all of these years. He always loved his music and was a talented artist in his younger years. Walter struggled with Schizophrenia and tried to live the best life he could. Thank you to the staff at the Salvation Army for looking after Walter all these years. You were able to provide him with some stability and safety in his life. A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, August 1 at 3:00 p.m. at Holy Family Cemetery, 4355 Main Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Walter’s memory to the Salvation Army.
