PÈRE EPHREM PELLETIER, O.M.I. 1921 – 2013 Paisiblement, le Père Ephrem Pelletier est décédé à Actionmarguerite (Centre Taché) St-Boniface, MB le 17 juillet 2013 à l’âge de 92 ans. En plus de sa famille religieuse, il laisse dans le deuil plusieurs neveux et nièces. L’ont précédé dans la tombe ses parents Ovide et Angelina Pelletier (née Richard), frères Edmond, Alexandre et Léon, sÅ“urs Noella, Alma, Léa, Rosa, Laura et Clara. Ephrem est né à Thibaultville, MB, le 18 mars 1921. Il fit ses premiers vÅ“ux à St-Laurent, MB le 15 août 1942, ses vÅ“ux perpétuels le 8 septembre 1945 à Lebret, SK et a été ordonné prêtre le 31 mai 1947 à St-Boniface, MB. Il a été missionnaire à Camperville, MB et professeur au Juniorat de St-Boniface. Il a également été curé et missionnaire à Eriksdale au Manitoba. Il a fait un bref passage à Duck Bay, Ebb and Flow, Fisher Branch au Manitoba et Sioux Narrows, ON. Les Oblats et la famille Pelletier désirent exprimer leur reconnaissance aux amis du Père Ephrem et au personnel d’Actionmarguerite pour leur dévouement. La veillée de prières aura lieu le dimanche 21 juillet à 19h à la chapelle de la Résidence Despins, 151, rue Despins à St-Boniface. Les funérailles seront célébrées le lundi 22 juillet à 13h30 à la Résidence Despins suivies de l’inhumation au cimetière de Saint-Boniface. Fr. Ephrem Pelletier, OMI 1921 – 2013 Peacefully, on July 17, at the age of 92, Father Ephrem Pelletier passed away at Actionmarguerite (Taché Centre), St. Boniface, MB. Besides his religious family, he leaves to mourn many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Ovide and Angelina Pelletier (née Richard), his brothers Edmond, Alexandre and Léon and his sisters Noella, Alma, Léa, Rosa, Laura and Clara. Ephrem was born in Thibaultville, MB on March 18, 1921. He pronounced his first vows in St-Laurent, MB on August 15, 1942, his perpetual vows on September 8, 1945 in Lebret, SK and was ordained on May 31, 1947 in St-Boniface, MB. He was a missionary in Camperville, MB and a professor at the Juniorat of St. Boniface. He also served as pastor and missionary in Eriksdale (Manitoba). He spent a brief time in Duck Bay, Ebb and Flow, Fisher Branch (Manitoba) and in Sioux Narrows, ON. The Oblates and the Pelletier family wish to thank Father Ephrem’s friends and the personnel at Centre Taché for their care and devotion. A prayer vigil will be held on Sunday, July 21 at 7:00 p.m. at Despins Residence; 151 Despins Street in St. Boniface. His funeral will be held on July 22 at 1:30 p.m. at Despins Residence followed by the interment in the St-Boniface Cemetery.
