ADOLF HOFFMANN Peacefully on June 4, 2013, Adolf Hoffmann passed away at the age of 79, surrounded by family. Adolf is survived by his loving wife Elfriede, son Harold wife Terry and children Adam, Katrina, and Kelsey, daughter Anita husband Ted Short and children Nicole and Kirsten, daughter Betty, daughter Doreen and children Samara and Joshua, sister Erna Schiller (Germany), brother Paul (Germany), as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He was predeceased by his son Garry (2003). Adolf was born December 7, 1933 in Germany, where he trained and became an electrician. Adolf married Elfriede in March 1957 and they immigrated to Canada later that year. They chose sunny Winnipeg as their home where Adolf began working as an electrician and soon established his own electrical contractor business (Hoffmann’s Electric). Adolf was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, competition shooting (St. Hubertus Game and Fish Association), fishing, and camping, with his family and friends as often as he could. Since arriving in Winnipeg, Adolf was a faithful member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Pastor Richard Beinert will officiate at the service. The Funeral Service will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, on Monday, June 10, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Manitoba Wildlife Federation in his name. "I am the good shepherd, I know my own and my own know me." John 10:14
