STANISĹAW PETRYK

On October 4, 2018, Stan Petryk passed away peacefully surrounded by his long-time partner Irena Kosicki at Seven Oaks Hospital.

Stan was predeceased by his father Joseph in 1978 and mother Ana (nee Gajewska) passed away in 1940 while she was in Siberia during WWII, when Stan was only 2 years old. He was also predeceased by his brothers John, Paul and sister Wanda.

He was born on February 5, 1938 in Poland. He immigrated to Canada in 1970 and met the love his life Irena in 1975. He taught her to drive so she could get her driver’s license.

Stan loved the mountains and camping and took many road trips with Irena to BC and other parts of the West Coast.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 12 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Interment to follow in Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Avenue.
