DARRYL RENAUD

Obituary of DARRYL HALLI RENAUD

It is with incredible sadness and profound sense of loss that our family announces the accidental passing of our beloved Darryl Halli Renaud on March 3, 2024 at the age of 59. Darryl was

born on December 31, 1964 in Winnipeg, the youngest of four sons to Harvey and Sylvia Renaud. The family resided in the Weston area of Winnipeg.

He attended Weston Elementary, Cecil Rhodes Junior and Tec-Voc High School.

Darryl excelled in many sports. His love of football began in the school yard of Weston Elementary School with his brother Ryan playing quarterback and Darryl the receiver. Playing in the 1983 High School Championship for the Tec-Voc Hornets, Darryl showed his unbelievable receiving skills.

His love of football continued all through his adult life supporting the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and attending numerous Grey Cups. Most recently he watched the Blue Bombers win two Grey Cups and lose their bid for three in a row.

Music was another of his passions and Darryl would sing any chance he got, first with his brothers’ Ryan and Kim and then with family and friends.

Following in his dad’s footsteps, after high school he went to work for MTS. At the time of his passing, he was employed by Bell MTS for 40+ years and was looking forward to retiring at the end of the year.

Left to cherish Darryl’s memory is his loving wife, Jodi of 35 years and his two amazing sons, Brandon (Erna) and Keith who he was very proud of. Two beautiful grandchildren, Mila and Weston. Brothers, Leon (Fran), Ryan (Geri) and Kim (Debbie) who are heartbroken to lose their youngest brother way too soon, sister-in-law Jaye (Jeff) Gudge.

Mourning his loss are aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and their extended families and his amazing number of friends.

Predeceased by his father Harvey and mother Sylvia, father and mother-in-law Joe and Jean Sutton and sister-in-law Evelyn.

Donations in Darryl’s memory can be made to a charity of your choice.
