Conceição was predeceased by her parents Maria Margarida Amaral and José de Fontes Correia, her sister Luisa Medeiros, her brothers José Correia, Henrique Fontes, and Antonio Domingos Fontes and her Godfather Henrique Amaral.

Born on December 5th,1952 on the island of São Miguel, in the Azores, Conceição grew up in her beloved town of Ponta Garça where she loved going to school. At a young age, she developed a talent for embroidery and crocheting that she carried well into adulthood leading to her career as a seamstress.

In 1972 Conceição moved to Canada to live with her Godparents Henrique and Fernanda with the ambition to work hard for a better life. In 1975, Conceição travelled back to Portugal to marry her sweetheart, Guilherme, after dating from afar for 3 years through letters. They moved to Canada to start a wonderful life together and were blessed with three daughters, whom Conceição always dressed in the finest fashions. She adored shopping for shoes and purses with her daughters and enjoyed dressing her best when attending church or family outings.

Conceição's pride and joy were her three grandchildren, whom she often cared for and took great delight making their favourite meals. As an active member of her parish, she dedicated countless hours volunteering to innumerable church celebrations.
