Obituary of MARK KAWULIA

MARK KAWULIA

With family by his side Mark passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at the age of 64 years at St. Boniface Hospital.

Mark is survived by his mother Doris, sister Tracey (Andrew) Fallak and his niece Meaghan as well as many other family and friends.

He was predeceased by his father Metro “Butch” Kawulia as well as aunts and uncles including Billy Lichtenstien, Gordon and Deidre Strain, William (Toolie) Kawulia, Peter Kawulia, and Mary Kawulia.

Mark enjoyed life. He grew up in Fort Frances, Ontario surrounded by lakes and summers filled with fishing and times with family and friends. His love of football began in his young years when he helped with the Fort Frances Muskie football team.

He moved to Winnipeg with his family in the mid 80’s. He worked mainly in security positions at Canadian National Railway and Manitoba Hydro. He continued to love spending time outdoors. His love for football also continued. He was a season ticket holder of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers for many years. He also could be found watching both CFL and NFL football. Watching replays of the games on the internet was something he would do routinely. This helped him build his knowledge of CFL statistics. When he was healthy, he would commonly use humour in his interactions. People knew he loved them if he used humour when talking with them.

A celebration of life will take place in June 2024.

We wish to thank the doctors and staff at CancerCare MB Clinic and 4E at St, Boniface Hospital. Full obituary can be found on the Cropo website,
