TEODOR ALFRED WASILEWSKI

September 30, 1942 – February 2, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father and grandfather, Teodor Alfred Wasilewski, at the age of 81.

Teodor was born on September 30, 1942, in Przasnysz Poland. He immigrated to Canada in April 1967.

He was predeceased by his wife, Janina, his mother and stepfather Marianna and Kazimierz Olbert, his granddaughter, Camellia Wasilewski, and his in-laws, Maria and Michal Klimczak.

Teodor is lovingly remembered by his son, Greg, daughter-in-law, Yola, grandsons, Jeremy and Ryan, his daughter, Joanna, son-in-law, Brent, and granddaughters, Evelyn and Angelina.  He will also be remembered by his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Grazyna and Piotr, niece Andrea, nephew Greg and their families.  He will be missed by numerous family members and friends in both Poland and Canada.

Teodor, also known as Fredek by those close to him, was employed by CP Rail, retiring in 1997.  He was very proud of his Polish heritage and along with his wife, passed down the Polish culture and traditions to his children and grandchildren.  He loved his little farm in the city as well as mushroom picking, cottage life and socializing with friends who became his family.  He could always be found working in his yard, gardening, cutting the grass, or doing anything outdoors until 10:00 a.m. when his favorite show, The Price is Right, came on.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 7, at St. Andrew Bobola Church, 541 Marion St, with Fr. Walery Bykowski officiating. Viewing and Rosary will begin at 9:30 am, followed by Mass at 10:00 am.  Interment will follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.

Wieczne odpoczywanie racz mu dać Panie.
