Obituary of EDWARD D. SALICHUK

EDWARD D. SALICHUK Dad Peacefully, on March 8, 2017, Edward left us here to be reunited with the love of his life, Simone. We weren’t ready for him to go but mom would have been happy to greet him in paradise with open arms. Dad was happy. He was proud and he had a life story he loved to share. He overcame hurdles in his younger years to go on and meet his lovely wife Simone, raise two pretty good children Kimberly and David, welcomed into the family his son in law Bryan and hang out with his fantastic grandchildren Jack and Karrigan who adored him. Ed still worked as a shuttle driver to keep himself busy where he enjoyed chatting with the customers and of course sharing his story. When he wasn’t working, dad loved going to concerts, baseball and hockey games. Over the years, he met many great friends and still was sure to keep in touch with the old ones. Dad was an outdoorsman and had recently got back to camping and loved to cook his meals on an open fire. Ed would frequently drive out to Teulon to spend days playing cards and cooking with his twin sister Elsie or visit with his other sister Eleanor out in Gimli. Dad will be greatly missed but we can find comfort knowing him and mom are back together laughing and loving again. Love you dad. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 14 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Interment to follow in Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Avenue.
