He took a very active role in all of his children's lives and was extremely proud of their accomplishments. He was also a proud Winnipeg Jets and Winnipeg Blue Bombers fan. Waris is survived by his wife Parvin, daughter Sahba and sons Sheraz and Feraz, and four grandchildren, Shaan and Kamran Hoda and Ruby and Lena Shere.
