Obituary of MICHAEL (MIKE) MAGNOWSKI

MICHAEL (MIKE) MAGNOWSKI Peacefully on September 5, 2014 with family at his side, Michael passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 87 years. He was predeceased by his father Antony Magnowski, his mother Anastasia Juce, his daughter Louise, his brothers Nick, Chester, Frank, Roy and his sisters Mary, Cassie, Lena, Nellie, Margaret and Ann. He is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife Theresa, his children Audrey, Michael (Nancy), Kevin, his sister Victoria Pushka and his grandchildren Chantel, Kevin, Chad and Kirk. Michael was born on May 1, 1927 and spent his early childhood in the Angusville and Russell area. He worked the farm with his family and later became a mechanic. He met his loving wife Theresa in Russell and they were married for 62 years. His retirement years were spent enjoying gardening, fishing and traveling. Mike was the strong silent type who often spoke few words, but when he did, they were often about something close to his heart. He loved to share about the things he knew and would always give his best advice when asked. He was hardworking and never liked to be idle; he was always outside working or fixing something that needed repair. He was loving, devoted to his family and his marriage in which he would often show the ‘spark’ was still there with a glance or loving comment. The family would like to thank the staff, especially Lisa, at the Seven Oaks Emergency Department for their support and excellent care. In lieu of flowers donations may be offered to the Mass or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 9 at 10:00 am at St. Benedict’s Monastery – 225 Masters Ave.
