Obituary of MATTHEW KYLE SANTOS

MATTHEW KYLE SANTOS On June 23, 2014, Matthew Kyle Santos passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 19 years. Matthew is survived by his loving parents Paul and Ricki; brother Micheal (Alexandra) and sister Hayley; grandparents Luis and Maria Santos; grandmother Lesley Sontag; aunts Mary Santos (Manny), Catarina Santos (Rui), Ema Santos; uncles Carlos Santos (Kathryn), Joel Sontag (Jodi) and Corey Sontag (Greg); cousins Alicia, Justin, Tyler, Kayla, Kyle, Jade, Lucas, Sofia, Amelia, Liana and Ava and numerous friends and extended family. He was predeceased by his grandfather, Ralph Sontag. Matthew grew up in Winnipeg and graduated from Garden City Collegiate in 2012. He had a special connection with animals, they were drawn to him. He was idolized by his younger cousins, they all looked up to him. He always worried about his little sister and looked up to his big brother. Matthew, you were a kind and gentle person, always giving and doing anything you were asked. Hope you are at peace with Grandpa. We will never forget you or stop loving you. Our beloved Matukash. The family would like to thank the Winnipeg Police Services, Paramedics and Firefighters, and the Seven Oaks Hospital staff. Prayers will be said on Friday, June 27 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 28 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin St. N. Interment to follow in Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue West. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Matthew’s memory to the Salvation Army.
