Obituary of ELEANOR (BASSINGTHWAITE) LOCKHART

ELEANOR (BASSINGTHWAITE) LOCKHART August 3, 1943 – March 14, 2014 With much sadness we announce the passing of Margaret Eleanor Lockhart following a courageous conflict with cancer. Eleanor will be greatly missed by the many lives she touched and brightened, husband, John Bassingthwaite (Winnipeg); mother Margaret Quinn (Virden, MB); brother and sister-in-law Clarence and Decie Lockhart (Winnipeg); sister-in-law and brother-in-law Margaret and Hal Thiesen (Edmonton, AB); also many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A special thank you to the staff at the St. Boniface CancerCare Unit and also the nursing staff at the St. Boniface Intensive Care Unit for their attentive care, compassion and kindness. A Memorial Service will be held in honor of Eleanor’s life and memory on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. An interment will be held at a later date at the Breadalbine Cemetery Lenore, MB.
