Surrounded by her loved ones during her final hours, Maria de Conceição de Medeiros Moniz Ferreira died peacefully on December 7, 2024 at 75 years of age.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, José Ferreira, parents Irene and Manuel Moniz, sister Maria de Lourdes Machado, brother Antonio Moniz, brothers-in-law Manuel Santos Machado, John Ferreira, Manuel Ferreira and Andrew Di Rado. 

Our loving mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, aunt and cousin, leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters Lucy (Alan), Christine (Paul), Tracy (Jason), and her grand children Savana, Gavin, Alessio, Amare, Zander and Ellie. She also leaves to mourn her brother Frank, many sisters-in law, brothers-in-law, God children, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

Connie (Maria) was a vibrant, caring, unselfish and compassionate person who always went above and beyond for her entire family. 

Nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her grandchildren and feeding them their favourite meals. 

She had a hospitable nature and welcomed everyone to her home with open arms.

She had strong faith and an infectious sense of humour.

Our hearts are broken without you and we will never stop missing you. We love you so much and happy to know that you are now reunited with the love of your life. 

The family would like to thank Dr. Fatoi, Dr. Thiessen, and staff at Seven Oaks General Hospital for the amazing care and support that they provided to her and our family during this difficult time. 

As per Connie’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private service to celebrate her life has been arranged. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Connie to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation.
