Donald Jaworski March 24, 1961 – February 13, 2023 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Donald “Donnie J” Jaworski on February 13, 2023, at East Gate Lodge Personal Care Home at the age of 61. He is predeceased by his parents, Albert and Jean Jaworski and Father-in-Law Alvin Goodman. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 42 years, Judith, their daughter Janine and sons Trevor (Andrea) and Wesley, his pride and joy: grandchildren Julia and Michael, his sister Darlene, brother Gary (Tracey), his Mother-in-Law Patricia Goodman, a very large extended family and many friends made along the way. Born in Winnipeg, MB, Don, played in the streets of the North End and attended Champlain School then St. John’s High School. He spent summers, weekends, and Sunday dinners at the “Ponderosa” (farm) in East Selkirk, Mb. enjoying time with his sister, brother, and cousins. He would ride the Chaparrel motorcycle, play football, ride bicycles and fish at the creek. The summer of 1979, while at The Ponderosa, Don would meet Judith Goodman, after crashing a party down the road. In July 1980, Judith and her friends would crash a party at The Ponderosa and the rest is history. They married November 22, 1980, and just celebrated their 42nd anniversary. Don and Judith spent the 80’s having children; welcoming Janine in 1981, Trevor in 1984, and Wesley in 1989. They would take the kids on numerous adventures all over; short trips to Jack’s Kozy Korner or Lanky’s for ice cream, to the wrestling events and Blue Bomber games in Winnipeg. Then there were longer trips to West Hawk Lake during the summer or to see “The American Cousins” in Minnesota. Don was proud to be a part of building both houses that The Jaworski Family called home, from digging the basements right to the final coats of paint, Don was there diligently working during all his free time. Around the yard, Don was often found in his patented white dress shirt and tie combo fixing something under the riding lawnmower or with a chainsaw in a tree. At age 16 he started what would become his lifelong career, at Safeway. He moved around the north end to different stores. In the 1999, he came to the newly built Selkirk store, where he remained until his stroke and eventual retirement. In July 2010, tragedy struck The Jaworski family when Don had a stroke; he was 49. There were many difficult days but, somehow, he managed to keep his sense of humour throughout it all and marked July 28th as “Happy Death Day”. He worked hard at his physio and learned to walk again but his body would eventually fail him, he was accepted into care. Judith followed him everywhere; she transferred jobs from Selkirk to Gimli Mb and sold the house, when he was in Gimli Personal Care Home, then retired to take a job in Beausejour, Mb, when Don was sent to East Gate Lodge Personal Care Home. She would follow him anywhere. During these difficult years, Don would receive a new reason to live as he became “Papa” to his grandchildren Julia and Michael. Julia would often climb up his wheelchair to sit on his lap and, at age 4, Michael proved to be as strong as his father by pushing Papa in his wheelchair telling Judith “No, Amma, I do it!” In his later years, Don became more adventurous answering “yeah, sure” to anything that we asked him. At this time, Judith became well acquainted with Ticketmaster and the accessibility seating taking him to concerts, Goldeyes and Blue Bomber games. He was a passionate sports fan you could often hear him call out “Go Jets, Go” and “Go Bombers, Go” down the halls at East Gate. He left this world exactly how he wanted, quietly, peacefully, with Judith by his side. May we all be relieved and content knowing that Don is finally out of pain and at peace. “Beyond the suffering you’ve known, I hope you find your way... May you never be broken again”

My Tribute Gift Foundation makes this online charitable giving portal web page MyTributeGift.org (the “Website”) available to you subject to your acceptance of and compliance with these terms of use (the “Terms of Use”). Your donation will be processed through My Tribute Gift Foundation for distribution to your selected charity. Your credit card transaction record will appear as My Tribute Gift Foundation. An official tax receipt for your donation will be issued by My Tribute Gift Foundation. Donations are sent out to charities at the end of each month for all donations received in that previous month. So a donation made on the first day of the month would be sent at the same time as one made on last day. Payments would be sent either by paper check or direct deposit. Please note that the there is 3% + 35¢/transaction fee for credit card processing, My Tribute Gift Foundation collects a 5% administrative fee. These fees help fund the cost of processing all donations, issuing tax receipts, and sending all appropriate information to the selected charity. These fees are assumed by your selected charity, but you will receive a receipt for the full amount of your donation. There are NO additional costs the charity has to endure to participate and accept donations through MyTributeGift.org. According to the American Institute for Philanthropy (charitywatch.org) a charitable organization is considered “Good” if they are spending less than 30% on administration and fundraising costs. My Tribute Gift Foundation helps reduce those administrative costs for charities and allows donors to contribute to lasting memorials for their loved ones.
When donating online, if the donation form has an option to add a tip, there is no convenience fee. The tip is optional and can be adjusted before you submit your donation. The amount of the tip will be displayed to you before you confirm the charge to your payment card. Tips are in addition to the donation amount, so they do not affect the amount that goes to the charitable organization. Under IRS and CRA rules, tips are not tax deductible to the donor.
You warrant and represent that all information and materials you provide to My Tribute Gift Foundation, through the Website or otherwise, are accurate and truthful and do not violate third party rights. Indemnity. YOU AGREE TO INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS THE FOUNDATION PARTIES FROM AND AGAINST ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, DEMANDS, ACTIONS, SUITS AND PROCEEDINGS BROUGHT BY YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY (COLLECTIVELY "CLAIMS") ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THIS SITE IN BREACH OF THESE TERMS OF USE OR THE INFRINGEMENT BY YOU OF ANY INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS OF ANY PERSON OR ENTITY, INCLUDING ALL LOSSES, LIABILITIES, DAMAGES, COSTS AND EXPENSES (INCLUDING ALL LEGAL FEES) ARISING FROM SUCH CLAIMS.

The courts of the Province of Ontario shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of these Terms of Use or your use of the Website.
These Terms of Use constitute the entire agreement between you and My Tribute Gift Foundation with respect to the Website, except as we may explicitly agree otherwise in writing.. As a donor, you are responsible for researching the charity, understanding how your money will be used, and understanding the tax implications of your donation. We will email you a receipt, but the deductibility of your donation depends on your individual tax situation. We are not financial, tax, or legal experts. Please do not rely on our information to make decisions about your finances, taxes or legal matters. Consult a qualified professional in your jurisdiction.
Participating organizations have chosen to actively participate in the “Sponsor Program” to be represented in the Sponsor Charity array in an effort to increase their exposure and the opportunity for more memorial donations to be made to their organization. A rate structure is agreed upon and assessed on each donation processed through that program according to each organization’s individual agreement. Giving through that program has helped many organizations realize a drastic and significant increase in net donations.
If a donation form has a line item of Convenience Fee. The Convenience fee is displayed to you prior to approving the charge to your payment card. The convenience fee is in addition to the donation amount, so they do not affect the amount reaching the charitable organization. For example, a $100 donation becomes a $101.50 transaction. The convenience fee is directed immediately to a for-profit service provider. According to IRS and CRA rules the tax deductible receipt will therefore only be issued for the subtotal amount.
My Tribute Gift Foundation seeks to distribute all funds to organizations provided they have maintained active 501c3 certification in the United States or registered charity status in Canada. MTG relies on the beneficiary organizations to maintain and keep up to date contact information on file with the IRS or CRA respectively. This must be done in order for My Tribute Gift Foundation to exercise care and reasonable efforts to distribute payment promptly, without undue cost and burden to the foundation. In the event that a payment has not been deposited 12 months from issuance, the foundation reserves the right to utilize those funds in its mission to the foundation.
My Tribute Gift Foundation reserves the right to modify, change, discontinue and suspend these Terms of Use, the Website, and/or any services offered through the Website, in whole or in part, at any time, without prior notice to you. Your continued access or use of the Website after modifications to these Terms of Use have been posted on the Website shall indicate your acceptance of and agreement to be bound by these Terms of Use as modified.
