BRIAN GEORGE WINTERBURN
It is with great sadness that I announce the sudden death of my beloved husband of 30 years, Brian George Winterburn, as the result of a heart attack, May 4th, 2010 at the age of 60.
He leaves to cherish his memory myself, Debra Joy, our daughter, Jennifer Lynn (Jamie), brother Barry (Ina), sister Bev (Chuck), sisters-in-law Judi, Brenda (Arnold) and Sandra (Andy).
Due to a disability, Brian was forced to take an early retirement after many years as a transport driver with Reimer Express. Brian would not let this setback in life get him down. He pursued volunteer work at Luxton Community Centre and later moved on to the very important task of chauffeuring me to and from various work locations. Brian always had an infectious smile. People often commented on this and how he lived his life with great pride and dignity.
I would like to commend the wonderful care and support provided at the Seven Oaks Hospital Emergency Department that fateful night. Also, the wonderful level of care provided by longtime Family Physician, Dr. Sheldon Koven, more recently Dr. Ken Kemkaran and Neurologist, Dr. Chris Bourque.
Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 8th, 2010 at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Brian's memory to the Diabetes Society.
