She is survived by her son, Albert (Olga) Dwolinski, grandsons Larry (Mary) Dwolinski, Peter Dwolinski, and Bernie Dwolinski; daughter Violet, granddaughter Cindy; daughter Florence (Norman) Rogowsky, grandsons Kelvin (Jennifer) Rogowsky, Byron (Carla) Rogowsky, Brent (Chantele) Rogowsky, granddaughter Lorilee (Jesse) Dunn; daughter Josie (Peter) Rogowski, granddaughters Janilee (Dwight) Sawatzky, Brenda (Chris) Dunn, as well as 12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Lena was predeceased by her parents, Charley (Wasyley) and Ewdokia (Dora) Atamanchuk, brothers John and Steve Atamanchuk, sisters Helen Chorney, Tillie Baziuk, and son Emile Dwolinski. Lena was married November 12, 1927. She raised a family of five in Fisher Branch, MB. She moved to Winnipeg in 1954 and worked at Whitehall Laundry until she retired in 1970. She was baptized as one of the Jehovah's Witnesses on January 31, 1988. Lena was an outgoing person and she loved to be with people and to entertain them. She took great pleasure to plant many flowers around her home and she enjoyed her beautiful little flower garden very much. She will be dearly missed by her family and many friends. We love you Mom. We will miss you, but we take great comfort in the resurrection hope that Jehovah has promised, a paradise on earth. "When billions of dead will return to life, to life in a paradise, and no resident will say, "I am sick." Isaiah 33:24 The family would like to extend sincere thanks to the staff at Fred Douglas Lodge on Oak Trail unit for the kindness and excellent care extended to Mom during her stay. A Service will be held on Friday, February 20, at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. with Thomas Didur officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, Maples Congregation, 1877 Inkster Blvd., Winnipeg, MB, R2X 1P3 or to Fred Douglas Lodge, 1275 Burrows Avenue, Winnipeg, MB.
