CALOGERO CAVALERI
On August 31, 2026, peacefully and surrounded by his family and friends, Calogero (Lillo)(Charlie) Cavaleri has fallen asleep in death at the age of 98 years young. He was born in Termini, Imerese Sicily.
He was predeceased by his parents Giuseppe and Michelina Cavaleri and his wife Giuseppina Cavaleri (nee Attardo). He leaves behind his sister Lina Campanella; his many cousins, nephews and nieces and his daughter Gina and her husband Murray where they all loved him dearly and cared for him.
He will be forever in our hearts and remembered for his infectious laughter, his smile and camaraderie with his story telling. He will be sadly missed by all those who knew him. He was an outgoing person who always smiled and brightened your day.
Calogero loved and believed in Jehovah’s words and his wonderful promise of paradise to come. We wait for that day to come, where family and friends will come together again and death will be no more: Revelation 21:4.
The family thanks the staff at High Steppers Club, Action Margeurite in St. Boniface, Tuxedo Villa Extendicare and Golden Links Lodge where he formed new friendships and felt at home.
A service will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel Transcona, 1800 Day Street with viewing half hour prior. Interment will be at Green Acres Cemetery, 1 Green Acres Ln, Navin.
