Arden Erina Contreras

July 7, 2026 – August 15, 2026

Baby Arden Erina Contreras was born on Tuesday, July 7th, 2026 to her parents, Kaelyn & Ryan at 25 weeks and 1 day of gestation. She passed away peacefully on the evening of Saturday, August 15, 2026 surrounded by her family who loved her.

Arden spent her 39 days of life in the NICU at the Women’s Hospital at Health Sciences. She was loved and well cared for by all her nurses and doctors. She enjoyed being on her tummy, Kangaroo Care and hand hugs with her mommy and daddy. She loved sucking on her soother, listening to her parents sing lullabies and read books. She had a feisty personality, always finding a way to have her little hand or foot escape her swaddles.

Arden was a fighter, so brave, her little body working so hard to grow despite facing numerous challenges until the very end.

Arden was very loved. She is survived by her parents, Kaelyn & Ryan; her Lolo Emilio & Lola Rowena, Apong Roger, Tito Kenneth (Rianne), Ate Gracie and Kuya Wesley; her Lola Rebecca, Tita Regina (Patrick) and Ate Audrey; along with her extended family.

Arden enters into the loving embrace of her family in heaven, especially her Lolo Obet and Apong Flora.

The family would like to extend their utmost gratitude to the doctors and nurses who cared for Arden in the NICU, as well as the staff at St. Joseph’s Parish, Cropo Funeral Chapel and Assumption Cemetery for all their help during this difficult time.

The Lamay/Viewing is on Thursday, August 27th from 6pm-11pm at Cropo Funeral Chapel (1442 Main St.), with the Funeral Mass on Friday, August 28th at 10:00am at St. Joseph's Parish (355 Andrews St.).  Burial to follow at Assumption Cemetery (3990 Portage Ave.)
