ANICA (ANA) ANDERLUH

February 11, 1941 – July 17, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our mom, grandma, great-grandma, sister and auntie Anica (Ana) Anderluh.  She left us peacefully on July 17, 2026 at the age of 85 with her family by her side.

Anica was born in Yugoslavia on February 11, 1941 and was raised there together with her brother and sister until immigrating to Winnipeg, Canada with her husband and eldest daughter in 1968.

Anica will be missed by so many, including her children, Vesna (Claude), John (Coreen) and Nancy (Rob), dearest sister Branka, special nephew Emilio (Hollie), grandchildren Nicole (Tim), Sean, Aaron, Dylan, Ashley (Reece), Anica, Leah and James, as well as great grandchildren, Anna, Emma, Paisley, Averee, Ryker and Ryatt.  She also leaves to mourn family in Slovenia and Australia including her brother Ivo (Mimica), nieces, nephews and too much extended family and friends to mention.  Anica was predeceased by her parents, husband Stan (2008) and special niece Amanda (2010).

Mom was employed by the province as a cleaning lady at the Law courts before retiring in 2004.  Anica cherished family, friends and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Nothing made her happier than being surrounded by family and friends, even in recent years when her health started to fail her.  Just being in the presence of family and friends meant the world to her.

We would like to thank the amazing staff that The Grace Hospital for their compassion and for making her final days as comfortable as possible.

A Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 6, 2026 at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street.
