ZORKA TINA MEDVED

For a life lived with unwavering strength and perseverance, we announce the passing of Zorka Tina Medved, who was born on May 30, 1939, and passed away on June 27, 2026. 

Throughout her life, she faced many challenges with courage and determination, meeting hardship with a strength that was felt by everyone who knew her. 

Zora was born in Begovac, Croatia, and immigrated to Canada in 1967, where she courageously began a new life, building it through hard work, perseverance and quiet strength.

She was predeceased by all of her siblings and is remembered by her son, Valentino (Kristin), and her grandsons, Luca (Makyla) and Ethan (Emma), who were a source of great pride and joy in her life. She shared a special bond with her many nieces and nephews, who will remember her fondly. 

Zora’s life will be celebrated for the laughter she brought, the strength she showed, and the memories she leaves behind. 

Her family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff at Holy Family Personal Care Home for the compassionate care provided to her over the last few years. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 4, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Nicholas Croation Parish, 2688 Main Street, with viewing starting 1 hour prior.  Interment to follow at Glen Eden Cemetery, 4477 Main Street.
