Frank Kevin Wesley passed away suddenly on Tuesday, June 16th, 2026  at the age of 61 years.

He was predeceased by his mother Salome Wesley, father Elder Frank Wesley, his son Troy Wesley, his brothers Stanley Miles, Joe Wesley and sister Bernice Bear.

Frank is forever remembered by his children Kevin (Chantel), Courtney, Cherish (Terrance), his ex-wife Joyce Wesley, his friend Clayton, his brothers Ronnie, John (Andrea), his sisters Mary, Barbara, Helen (Robin), Lula (Jeff), his grandchildren Jordan, Skylynn, Marcus, Starr, Cataleia, Calla-Boo, Callita, LunaMoon, Kamryne, Ariyah, Treyson and numerous of nieces and nephews he loved dearly.

Frank was born in Norway House, Manitoba but is a member of Treaty 3 from Lac Seul First Nation Ontario. Frank loved his music, going fishing and hunting and just loved to have a good time and be with family. His love for his grandchildren was all of his heart, he would do anything to see them smile.

Frank loved to be outdoors and away from the city any chance he got, he traveled far and wide with his siblings and parents when he was younger. He continued to travel when he was older whenever he got the chance to get up and go with whoever was willing to include him in their trips. His most memorable trip was New York City, a story he would always tell and never forget.  He loved to take his grandchildren fishing and hunting, teaching them our culture and traditions and he did it proudly with awesome stories and teachings behind it. He loved all his fishing adventures with his children, all the “pull-backs”, fish outs, fires, music and laughter will never be the same without Mr. Friday himself!! Frank also enjoyed his hunting trips with his brothers and sons, would wake up at the crack of dawn to shoot duck and goose with the boys. He also looked forward to his Thursday bingo’s at J W’s house, sit around, have his drinkypoos and play bingo surrounded by his grandbabies, was his happy place. Frank lived his life how he wanted to and not how people told him he should. He always stood his ground and taught his children to always do the same.

Frank worked as an Educational Assistant at Hugh John MacDonald School for 37 years, he loved every moment of it, watching the kids grow up was his favorite thing, Hugh John was his second home and everyone that had the pleasure of working with him knew how much that place meant to him. We would like to send our love and thank you’s to all the alumni friends and students of Franks at Hugh John MacDonald for all the support, love and condolences, means so much to the family, we are over-joyed and happy to know he meant so much to everyone he worked with.

The man, the myth, the True legend! He is forever carved in many people’s lives, with his laughter, jokes and memories.

Wake / Visitation will take place on Thursday, June 25, 2026 at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street from 6 - 10 p.m. Funeral Service will also take place in Cropo Chapel on Friday June 26, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. After the service Frank and his family will drive by Hugh John MacDonald School 567 Bannatyne Avenue to pay respects.

He never looks for praises,

He’s never one to boast.

He just goes on quietly working,

For those he loves the most.

His dreams are seldom spoken,

His wants are very few.

And most of the time his worries,

Will go unspoken too.

He’s there…..A firm foundation,

Through all our storms of life.

A sturdy hand to hold onto,

In times of stress and strife.

A true friend we can turn to,

When times are good or bad.
