RENE EMILE JOSEPH LAFRANCE

Passed away peacefully at Concordia Place, May 26,2026 at the age of 90 years.

Husband to Irma (nee McMahon) Loving father to daughter Cheryl Bon (Theodore) and son Richard Lafrance (Beverly deceased). Grandfather “Pops” to Sarah Shiels, Jason Bon, Sagan Pagsuyuin (Randel), Michael Lafrance and Michael and Jenny Porco. Great-grandfather “Pops “to Lily and Dominic Pagsuyuin, Madelyn and Mackenzie Shiels and Jesse Porko. He also leaves his sister Irene Langhan (Mike; deceased), and Brother Paul Lafrance (Shirley) as well numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents Joseph Lafrance and Jean (nee Radoux), brother Roger Lafrance, sisters Cecile Hillis, Mariette Malberg and Collette Blanchet.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, June 11, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba with Father Joshua Gundrum officiating.

Internment will follow at Transcona Cemetery, 5014 Dugald Rd.
