Maria Figura (nee Tymczyszyn)

November 25, 1927 – May 26, 2026

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother, Maria Figura, at the Holy Family Personal Care Home at the age of 98.

Mom was born in Boldury, Poland and immigrated to Canada in 1950 with her husband and daughter.  Mom was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Maria was predeceased by her husband Stanislaw; parents Jan and Karolina; brother Kazimierz; sister Stephania; brother-in-law Tadeusz and son-in-law Terry.

Left to  mourn Maria’s passing and to cherish her memory are her daughters Stella Alcock and Virginia Peters (Bob). Babcia as she was called by her grandchildren are Brent Alcock (Lise), Christoper Alcock (Tamara), Mark Peters (Carlie), Jackie Burnett (Scott); great-grandchildren Zoe, Kaeden, Addison, Ryker and Mallory.

The family would like to thank the staff at Holy Family for their care and compassion over the last 3 years.

Celebration of Life will be held, Saturday, May 30, 2026 at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, at 11:00 a.m. with burial in Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Cemetery, 4387 Main Street.
